Building Jewish Identities. Creating Jewish Memories.
Gesher School for preschool through high school
Gesher School (Sunday School) is a place where every child can be him or herself and explore Judaism through hands-on, participatory conversations and activities. Several times a year, Gesher School moves to Saturdays for Gesher Shabbat. Through Gesher Shabbatot, class havurot, parent-child classes, and at unique celebrations, children and their parents enjoy each other and find ways to make Judaism meaningful in their lives bringing it out of the synagogue and into their homes.
Adult Education at Dor Hadash
Adult education is as important to us as educating our children. At the start of each Gesher School session, parents join their children at the Kehillah (community) Gathering for a brief learning opportunity before the beginning of class. Join the Rabbi at her monthly Rabbi's Cafe for a little nosh and learning on Sunday mornings. This year's topic is Judaism through a Reconstructionist Lens. Next sessions are at 10:30 a.m., Sundays, January 8, February 5, April 9, May 7 upstairs in the library.
