Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

By the time you read this the holiday “rush” will be over for another year. I particularly want to focus on the High Holy Days period. I continue to be astounded by the wonderful dedication and concentrated effort to put together what is needed for the smooth running of Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur services.

First, thanks to our great staff---Rabbi, Mark, and Betsy. Taking care of all the details makes this a time of potential stress for them as they juggle the various aspects of what needs to be done; they do it very well and smoothly.

Then, of course, we have the amazing devotion, year after year, of the many volunteers who step forward to help. It is because of the efforts of this army of volunteers that, when we arrive for services each night and day, everything is in place, orchestrated, seamless, and comfortable. We sometimes forget the behind-the-scene effort it takes for all this to occur.

You will find in a separate place in this issue of HaKesher a list of those who have stepped forward this year to make all this happen. When you see them at Dor Hadash, please be sure to personally thank them.
