HIGH HOLY DAYS 5783
with Congregation Dor Hadash
with Congregation Dor Hadash
The Yamim Nora’im (Days of Awe) are here. In the month of Elul, you reflected on the year gone by. In many ways, self-reflection affirms that change is possible: from the small, eye-opening moments to those that transform even the areas of our lives and the parts of the world that feel the most stuck.
If you haven’t yet joined CDH or renewed your membership and you wish to come to High Holy Days services in person, reach out now! Please visit our membership page for more information.
Regardless of where and how we are together these Yamim Nora’im, we look forward to a meaningful and deep experience. We wish everyone a transformative Elul, as we embark upon the important process of soul searching. |
COVID-19 Policy: All attendees are expected to be fully vaccinated and boosted. In the uncommon situation of an unvaccinated attendee, it is expected that the individual will test at home prior to each day's attendance. Do not attend services if you are experiencing symptoms of any illness regardless of vaccination or immunity status. It is strongly endorsed that all attendees wear a mask while indoors. Thank you for your cooperation and we are looking forward to celebrating safe and meaningful High Holy days.

Services will be streamed on YouTube and available for all, regardless of membership status. Advanced registration is required and all links will be available in late September.
Elevating Elul: Spiritual Preparation for the High Holy Days
Look out for our annual Elul Meditations written by fellow CDH members. This year the theme is Looking Back, Looking Forward.
Submit your sins!
Al het sh'hatunu l'fanekha...for the sins that we committed.
Every year at Yom Kippur we seek at-one-ment with ourselves, the people we love, and God, but we are not always prepared to acknowledge the things we screwed up, people we hurt, words we said wrong or situations we otherwise botched. Here is your opportunity to do some anonymous soul searching and help our community collectively reflect on the people we have been and the people we want to be.
The submissions will be collected and a communal Al Het will be created to be read Yom Kippur morning. Please do not mention specific names, just what you feel bad about, both personally and as a member of the Jewish people (or someone who identifies with the Jewish people, even if you are not Jewish). You may submit your sins online, or in person at Selichot or Rosh Hashanah. (submission are closed)
L'Shalom,
Rabbi Yael Ridberg
