TODAH RABAH (Thank you very much)
|
As I finish up my “retirement paperwork” from the High Holy Days, I find myself thinking back over these past 29 years of leading and supporting the effort that goes into preparing for the High Holy Days. It’s hard to put into words what this community means to me. Each year has been a privilege, and this year—despite some challenges—was no exception.

I want to offer my deepest thanks to our board, members, staff, clergy, and the JCC staff. Your dedication, patience, and willingness to step forward made all the difference. I have felt supported, encouraged, and lifted up by you in more ways than I can count. Serving alongside you has been one of the great blessings of my life, and I am truly grateful.
Rabbi Mike, I really enjoyed collaborating with you and getting to know you while preparing for this year’s services. Your warmth, caring and humor while working together and as you engaged with the congregation, whether in a small group at Selichot, or at the Erev Rosh Hashanah seder, services, Sukkot and Simchat Torah, is both evident and inspiring.
And finally, a special thank-you to President Aran Tavakoli and the Board for your thoughtful recognition of me and the lovely and generous gift.
And to the following lists of people, todah rabah. If your name isn’t listed, please accept my apologies and also my thanks for participating.
I hope you'll all take a moment to read through the names (it takes a village) and think about joining the High Holy Days Team next year.
